Introduction

Introduded in August 2014 this facility uses the power of Excel to produce a number of new reports.
Important: Microsoft Excel is required to be installed on your PC in order for the reports to work.

Where can the reports be found.

The reports can be accessed in PlaneBase2 from the Main menu> Reports>Main Reports. This will then open up the Reports screen below

By clicking on Options, highlighted in yellow, in the top left hand corner of the screen, and then select Excel Reports the following options will appear:

  • Biz Jet Reports
  • Biz Prop Reports
  • Jets Reports
  • Prop Reports
  • Russian Reports
  • Airport Analysis
  • Year Analysis

The first five options above will show further menu items.

The Airport Analysis option will run an Airport Analysis report – see below for further information.

The Year Analysis option will run a Year Analysis report – see below for further information.

What are the New Reports

There are currently 5 new reports. A description of each is shown below.

C/N Analysis Frame

This report can be accessed by clicking on the Biz Jets Report, Biz Props Reports, Jets Reports, Prop Reports or Russian Reports menu items. (Main Menu>Reports>Main Reports>Options>Excel Reports)

With the C\N Analysis Frame report a separate worksheet is created for each type. So for example for Biz Jets there would be a separate work sheet for each Biz Jet type

To see the information please click on the worksheet in question. Below is a sample of the information for the Canadair Challenger 600:

As can be seen from the above the report shows the C/N of the aircraft , its Current Reg, the Current Operator \ Airline\ its Series and Status. It also shows if the user has seen the frame and if so what the Registration was, together with what the Airline was and Where and When they saw it.

C/N Analysis Reg

This report can be accessed by clicking on the Biz Jets Report, Biz Props Reports, Jets Reports, Prop Reports or Russian Reports menu items.(Main menu>Reports>Main Reports>Options>Excel Reports)

With the C\N Analysis Reg report a separate worksheet is created for each type. So for example for Biz Jets there would be a separate work sheet for each Biz Jet type

To see the information please click on the worksheet in question. Below is a sample of the information for the Canadair Challenger 600:

The report is similar to the C\N Analysis Frame report, however it will only show that the user has seen the aircraft if they have seen that aircraft with the Current Reg. Column F however shows if they have seen it as a Frame. So for example with C/N 1006 the user has seen the aircraft but not with the registration N515BP.

Type Analysis

This report is currently only available for Jets and can be accessed via Main menu>Reports>Main Reports>Options>Excel Reports

The Type Analysis report produces a separate worksheet for each Jet Type.  The report can take a little time to create due to the formatting and calculations that are taking place in the background.

The report shows per airline the number of aircraft in the database against that airline. It analyses those details by status and how many the user has seen.

Note - at the moment it has only been designed in frame mode. It also shows percentages.

Shown below is a sample of the information for the Boeing 717:

Airport Analysis

This report can be accessed by selecting the Airports Analysis option from Main menu>Reports>Main Reports>Options>Excel Reports.

The Airport Analysis report creates a separate worksheet per airport that the user has visited. It shows analysed by Aircraft Main Type e.g. Jets, Props etc how many aircraft the user made on each trip. The name of the worksheet is the name entered by the user when they entered their log. An example is shown below for the editor’s trips to Dallas.

Year Analysis

This report can be accessed by selecting the Year Analysis option from Main menu>Reports>Main Reports>Options>Excel Report

This shows the number of frames and the number of registrations that the user has made analysed by Year and by Aircraft Main Type e.g. Jets, Props etc.

An example with this respect to frames made is shown below:
